Daggers forum supporters player of the month October (Winner Ben Strevens)

Ok, Sam Saunders has been voted your player of the month for the past 2 months.

Will he win it again.
October has been a mixed and busy month.
Here are the Daggers results

away to rochdale – won 2-0 (Benson, Richie)
away to Peterborough – won 1-0 (Nokkers)
home to Barnet – won 2-0 (Richie, Strevens)
home to Bury – lost 3-1 (Saunders)
away to Bounemouth – lost 2-1 (Nurse)
away to Darlington – lost 3-0
home to Grimsby – won 4-0 (Strevens 2, Benson, Arber)

Here are the 4 nominees

Sam Saunders – Had a very strong first half to the month. Set pieces were still strong and scored a beauty against Bury. Not at his best in the Bournemouth and Darlo defeats but then none of the team were. Will be looking to get back to his best after his injury recovery.

Matt Richie – Like Sanders had a great first half to the month. Looked influential against Rochdale and Barnet and is probably the best we are going to get in terms of replacements for Green. After only getting 35 minutes against Bournemouth and not influencing the game against Darlo, the left winger looked dangerous again against Grimsby.

Ben Strevens – Since breaking his goal draught against Barnet, the hard working striker has looked back to his best. You can always guarantee work rate from Strevs and in Benson’s absence was probably one of the players to come out of the 3 poor defeats with much credit as he did his best whilst being isolated. Seems to have refound the goals in a wonderful performance against Grimsby.

Paul Benson – His return against Grimsby shows just how much we need Bensons’s predator instincts in the box. Links well with Strevens and is always making chances for himself which is a good sign of a striker. Will most probably be our top scorer this season bar injury.
